COMMENTS FROM THE PANEL:
Nelson Aspen: Proof that talent is genetic! Scott displayed an obvious gift for soap acting from the beginning and was deprived of the opportunity to showcase his staying power on his recent return to ATWT. Somewhere out there is a soap who'd be smart to bring him on as a patriarch.
Roger Newcomb: Scott Bryce's transformation of Craig Montgomery from slimey young go-getter to vulernable and flawed hero was one of the best performances on daytime television in the 1980s. When he returned to ATWT in 2007 the character had been turned into a bad guy again, this time a snarky, less sympathetic version. Somehow Bryce managed to make most of his terrible storyline work. There was a scene where Craig gave Meg a drug to make her lose her baby. As a viewer, I should have hated the character with a passion (that was probably the point of that plot) but Bryce was so brilliant that I actually felt sorry for Craig that day. He's now working behind the scenes at STEAMBOAT and I have no doubt he'll be just as successful in that role as well.
COMMENTS FROM CO-STARS/CO-WORKERS/INDUSTRY:
Michael O'Leary: (executive producer of STEAMBOAT with Bryce) Scott is brilliant. I caught him early on AS THE WORLD TURNS. Scott can do comedy and drama. He reminds of a Carey Grant kind of guy. He's one of the smartest guys I think I've ever met. Scott can do it all.
