News Brief

New York Daily News: Zach's bloody car is found by the side of the road this week on "All My Children," prompting his wife, Kendall, and the rest of Pine Valley to fear the worst. "Richie has thrown him from a moving car," reveals Thorsten Kaye, who plays Zach. "It's not a good day, and it's about to get worse. Guess who stumbles upon him? Greenlee." Zach and Kendall's archenemy! Greenlee tries to help the injured Zach, but they both stumble down the side of the mountain. "They fall about 40 feet into a bunker," says Kaye. "It's a man-made bomb shelter. It's got cement walls and shelves with food. It's stocked from the '60s, from the Cold War. Kind of like a studio apartment in New York City."

Broadcast Newsroom: SoapNet is looking for a little "S N M." Targeting new viewers through further expansion of its programming portfolio, SoapNet will make its initial foray into the movie business next month, teeing up a series of Sunday-night films. Acquired from Disney-ABC Domestic Television, the dozen pictures presented under the tongue in cheek banner "S N M" (for Sunday Night Movies) are largely from the romantic-thriller genre. Theatricals include Full Frontal, starring Julia Roberts, and Deception with Viggo Mortensen, as well as telefilm Deadly Sins with Alyssa Milano and Double Cross with Kelly Preston. The movie maneuver, beginning Dec. 2 at 10 p.m. with C. Thomas Howell in Dangerous Indiscretion, continues the diversification of SoapNet beyond the day-and-date time-shifted delivery of network soap operas. "Rather than presenting a fifth run of the show that week and going up against ABC's heavy artillery [Brothers and Sisters] on Sunday night, we wanted to see if we could build our audience by attracting some new viewers with films that have soap appeal," Brian Frons said.

What's On TV: "EastEnders'" Bradley Branning better make the most of the honeymoon period because that wedding day video is going to ruin his life! Actor Charlie Clements tells us more. How are Bradley and Stacey enjoying life as newlyweds? “They had a lovely honeymoon. Away from Albert Square, Stacey seemed much more relaxed than usual and she and Bradley come home, very much in love. Life's perfect as far as Bradley is concerned but then the bubble bursts."

Contactmusic: Marc Bannerman's actress girlfriend has flown out to Australia after seeing her man cosy up to ex-Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews. Sarah Mavers, who has been dating the ex-"EastEnders" star for two and a half years, told the Daily Mail: "I want to march into the jungle, haul her out and say 'He's mine, get off!'."

Mansfield News Journal: Madison Comprehensive High School graduate-turned actor Don Money is flirting with fame on the big screen, even if it's only briefly. Money recently completed appearances on the CBS soap opera "As the World Turns" and he originated the role of Dr. Brian Morgan on "Scripts & Scruples" and "Rockland County." He is set to begin shooting for the sixth episode of the upcoming ABC series, "Cashmere Mafia," starring Miranda Otto and Lucy Liu. That series is scheduled to begin Dec. 4, with a preview airing Nov. 27. However, the ongoing strike by the Writers Guild of America may throw the fate of "Cashmere Mafia" and other projects into question. "Right now, in the short run, daytime shows have a month of final scripts and three months of outlines they can use before things run out," Money said. "In the case of primetime shows, unless the remaining scripts are in produceable form, cast and crew won't be able to do anything." For his part, Money supports the writers on strike. "Nobody realized how much people would invest their lives into the Internet," he said. "As it stands now, writers are getting little for shows from 10 to 15 years ago that are now getting replayed over the Internet or on DVD."

People: "Carpoolers'" Allison Munn married ex-"As The World Turns" star Scott Holroyd on Saturday in their home state of South Carolina, the actress tells PEOPLE. Munn, 33, wore an A-line wedding gown by Monique Lhuillier as she and Holroyd, 32, exchanged traditional vows in front of about 200 guests at the French Huguenot Church in Charleston. "We grew up together and this is where we're both from," says Munn of the wedding location. "So we wanted to treat all of our friends to a traditional Southern wedding."
