Variety: The DGA’s reached a tentative three-year deal with the AMPTP with key advances in jurisdiction and payment for programming on the Internet. “Two words describe this agreement -- groundbreaking and substantial,” said Gil Cates, chair of the DGA’s Negotiations Committee. “The gains in this contract for directors and their teams are extraordinary -- and there are no rollbacks of any kind.” The DGA deal opens the door for AFTRA to launch its delayed network code negotiations. AFTRA prexy Roberta Reardon delivered the first official reaction to the deal and noted that the net code talks will start by Feb. 19.

Jam! Showbiz: Mary J. Blige will sing again in ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Llanview. (She first sang at Capricorn in July 2006.) The Grammy-wining singer taped her appearance on Thursday, Jan. 17. Blige will sing her Grammy-nominated single "Just Fine" from her new album Growing Pains and another song, "Hurt Again." Blige performs at Starr's (Kristen Alderson) surprise birthday party at Ultra Violet. She'll air Feb. 15 and 18.

ABC Medianet: Cameron Mathison, star of ALL MY CHILDREN and a most recent DANCING WITH THE STARS contestant, has been named as host the fourth annual "ABC Daytime Salutes Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS" benefit, Sunday, March 2 (7:30 p.m., ET) at Town Hall in New York City.

Broadway World: Project Ghostlight, a potential new documentary/reality series, shoots its pilot episode next week at The Boston University Theatre (The Huntington Theatre Company in residence). The show is a journey into the world of America's oldest, and sometimes forgotten, theatrical past. The aim: to bring to light the amazing stories locked inside America's majestic theaters and explore some of the phenomenal tales and experiences of the past and present. Ghostlight includes an overnight stay in the theatre for three up-and-coming actors (including Ryan Serhant), calling out the spirits uncovered during research of the space. Serhant, who won INTURN2, recently finished taping at AS THE WORLD TURNS.

New York Observer: “Maybe you're born with it, maybe it's Maybelline; in my case, it's Maybelline!" fashion muse Andre J told the crowd at Ford Models’ “Supermodel of the World” contest, at Terminal 5 on Eleventh Avenue in midtown on Wed., Jan. 16. Founders Jerry and Eileen Ford sat prominently in the first row, and at the other end of the runway, was ALL MY CHILDREN star Leven Rambin holding hands with castmate Aiden Turner.

TMC Net: Web video company mDialog is quickly emerging as the place to go for video programmers and producers seeking an online, high resolution distribution platform for original content. As one of the industry's leading web video innovators, mDialog today announced from the 2008 Macworld Expo that it will be launching original programming as well as showcasing content from leading producers across its LIFE, ARTS and PLANET networks. One show is COOKING TO GET LUCKY (Family Portion Productions), a humorous take on cooking to impress that potential mate. The show is hosted by Emmy award-winning actor Eden Riegel from ALL MY CHILDREN and talk show celebrity Bob Guiney.
