There a little more than 50 days until voters head to the polls this November to choose a new president of the United States. The Barack Obama campaign in Billings is not wasting a second getting the word out about its candidate. Saturday, GENERAL HOSPITAL star Nancy Lee Grahn spoke to local Obama supporters and volunteers about staying vigilant during this final push. Meanwhile, DAYS star Deidre Hall is in Orlando today campaigning for Obama.

"I always, 'go-with-the-flow' with whatever the writers have in mind, which makes it interesting. Some actors get so upset when they break up their characters, and I am not like that. I am like, “Oh cool. Give me something more to play with.” You can only be so happy for so long in daytime, and couples can only stay happy for so long until it gets boring. Even though, Amber and Daniel weren’t getting boring, they needed to have something to shake them up a little bit."
British ratings for Friday night
To give you an idea how many viewers are tuning in for soap in the UK:
Two episodes of CORONATION STREET pulled in 8 million (40.2%) and 7.64 million (34.8%) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm respectively. BBC One's EASTENDERS had 7.63 million (35.9%) at 8pm, with a further 450,000 (2.6%) watching on BBC Three at 10pm. EMMERDALE had 6.17 million viewers (33.9%) at 7pm.
HOME & AWAY was the rare victor in multichannel homes, with an audience of 488,000 (3.2%) tuning in for Fiver's first-look episode at 6.30pm. E4's first-look HOLLYOAKS brought in 425,000 (2.7%) at 7pm.
INTERVIEW: Former ATWT star Allyson Rice (Pt. 1)“The year I left was such a devastating year,” Allyson explains. “(My dismissal from ‘ATWT’) was so sudden, and it happened really badly. They let me know late Friday night after I was finished taping my scenes that my replacement was coming on Monday. I no longer had an agent; I hadn’t had one for quite a while, because I didn’t feel I needed one anymore. So I wrote to the two casting directors I knew, and one called me in for the Timecop job. I had to move out to L.A. again, but I really didn’t want to leave New York. But I got the job, and it was really exciting. Then, literally 48 hours after getting to L.A., after moving my family out there, they told me they redid the whole thing, and rewrote and eliminated some characters, one being mine.”
DAYS Sweeney and weight issues
Weight issues can be treacherous for teens, says Alison Sweeney, THE BIGGEST LOSER host. "You hit a certain age and all of a sudden those ice cream treats ... stack up. ... It was hard on me."
It was also very public. She turns 32 on Friday and has spent half her life on DAYS OF OUR LIVES.
Now Sweeney -- who is expecting her second child in January -- gives food some thought. "There is something so fulfilling about going to the farmers' market, picking out fresh ingredients and making a Sunday dinner for my family."

Fan Sarah Austin writes: "On one of my many shopping trips to the local grocery store I was very consumed in getting the best deals and using all the right coupons. Only a couple lanes from the end of my trip I was in the freezer section, and I happen to look up and I could not believe my eyes. Right in front of me was Robert Newman. (I know him as "Josh" from GUIDING LIGHT.)
I was so excited my smile jumped right off of my face. He was polite and asked me my name. And of course all I could say was 'my daughter and I watch GUIDING LIGHT every day.' I did not think to ask for an autograph but I did get a hug. My first celeb!
Robert was in town (Kalamazoo, MI) for a play he was doing, and he did an awsome job. Of course I had to go see it after meeting him."

Kennedy Center to honor Morgan Freeman
Barbra Streisand, former ANOTHER WORLD star Morgan Freeman and country singer George Jones will be awarded the Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime achievement in the arts, along with choreographer Twyla Tharp and musicians Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey of The Who.

Joel Lester Pinsker was married to Elizabeth Owen Rounds on Saturday. He is the son of Judith A. and Adam A. Pinsker of Woodstock, N.Y. His mother retired as a writer for several soap operas, including ABC’s RYAN'S HOPE, for which she won five Daytime Emmy Awards, and GENERAL HOSPITAL, also on ABC, for which she received another Daytime Emmy.
