Amber Tamblyn Cast in Horton Foote's Main Street?

According to THR.com, former GENERAL HOSPITAL star Amber Tamblyn, soon to be seen in ABC's THE UNUSUALS, is in final negotiations to star in Main Street, the Horton Foote Southern drama set to start shooting next month.

Tamblyn will play the lead character in the John Doyle-directed pic, in which residents of a close-knit Southern town see their lives disrupted when a stranger comes to town. The news follows word of Orlando Bloom entering negotiations to star as a small-town policeman and Andrew McCarthy being cast as a business manager.

The script by Foote, who died March 4, is one of the last known completed works by the screenwriter and playwright.
