ALL MY CHILDREN CAST MEMBERS CONFIRMED TO TAPE IN LOS ANGELES

SUSAN LUCCI, CAMERON MATHISON AND MICHAEL E. KNIGHT ARE AMONG THOSE CONFIRMED TO BEGIN TAPING "ALL MY CHILDREN" IN LOS ANGELES IN JANUARY 2010

In August 2009, it was announced by Brian Frons president, Daytime, Disney-ABC Television, that the Emmy Award-winning daytime drama ALL MY CHILDREN will move production from New York City to Los Angeles, California. The final date of production in New York is December 11th.

With production set to resume in Los Angeles on January 4th, 2010, the following contracted cast members are confirmed to begin taping at the Andrita Studios in Los Angeles: Brittany Allen, David Canary, Bobbie Eakes, Melissa Claire Egan, Stephanie Gatschet, Ricky Paull Goldin, Vincent Irizarry, Michael E. Knight, Susan Lucci, Jamie Luner, Adam Mayfield, JR Martinez, Cameron Mathison, Debbi Morgan, Cornelius Smith, Jr., Denise Vasi, Darnell Williams and Jacob Young.

Ray MacDonnell has announced that he will be retiring. We wish him well and our heartfelt congratulations. Thorsten Kaye will not be relocating to Los Angeles, and Alicia Minshew will be on maternity leave beginning November 2009. She will continue to appear on air through the month of December. Appearances by actors on recurring status will be determined by storyline needs and availability.

ALL MY CHILDREN's new, larger facility at Andrita Studios will give the show the largest production footprint of any of the ABC soaps. The site is twice the size of ALL MY CHILDREN's current New York home and contains two stages, which will enable production to keep more standing sets, thereby reducing transportation, set-up, knock-down and storage costs. The new facility will also allow for series production to immediately transition from Standard Definition to High Definition.

ALL MY CHILDREN will celebrate its 40th Anniversary on January 5, 2010. The program has successfully maintained its popularity and continues to be one of daytime's most compelling dramas. ALL MY CHILDREN took home the 1998 Emmy Award for Outstanding Daytime Drama Series, the third time the show received this top honor, having also garnered the award in 1994 and 1992. In 2004 the show also received its third consecutive Emmy Award for Outstanding Daytime Drama Series Writing, its third Writers Guild Award and its fourth GLAAD Media Award in March 2007

Created by Agnes Nixon, ALL MY CHILDREN premiered on the ABC Television Network on January 5, 1970, as a half-hour show; seven years later it expanded to an hour. Julie Hanan Carruthers is executive producer and Charles Pratt, Jr. is head writer. ALL MY CHILDREN is currently produced in New York and airs MONDAY-FRIDAY (1:00-2:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
