The previews for last night's episode of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS made it seem as if tragedy had struck Matt's life. It did, but it was Matt's father that died and not his beloved Grandma. Thank you! But one of most interesting and unexpected twists of the season happened with Devin convinced Julie to go to a gay bar just outside of Dillon with her. While there, Julie spotted Stan Traub, the eccentric East Dillon assistant football coach played by Russell DeGrazier. Their eyes met but no words exchanged. Later, at the Lions pep rally, Julie approached Stan and told him that she wouldn't say anything to anyone. He acted as if he had no idea what she was talking about. Will this subplot be explored further as the season progresses? Seeing the football team's reaction to this news would be quite compelling. And Eric's as well. Stay tuned!
