Sunday night's episode of MAD MEN, "The Grown-Ups," dealt with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Like much of the United States, Harry and Pete had AS THE WORLD TURNS on the television in Harry's office when Walter Cronkite broke into a scene between Nancy and Grandpa Hughes.
"That's my dubious claim to fame," ATWT's Helen Wagner once said. "I'm in the Smithsonian on tape, saying, 'I gave it a great deal of thought, Grandpa,' as Cronkite broke the story."
