From the Archive: Jacklyn Zeman Interviews (2009, 2010, 2011)

Emmy-winning actress Jacklyn Zeman is best known for her 45-year run as Nurse Bobbie Spencer on ABC soap opera General Hospital. She played the character until she passed away in 2023. She also received multiple Indie Series Award nominations for her work on the web series Misguided. We Love Soaps interviewed Zeman several times over the years. Check out our interviews below.

October 2009

Zeman reflected on her 35-year career on ABC soaps, and the wisdom of hard life lessons learned. Read our in-depth interview in five parts below:

September 2010

We Love Soaps TV caught up with Zeman and her co-stars at the premiere party of indie soap opera The Bay at Henry's Hat in Los Angeles.

October 2011

Zeman visited We Love Soaps headquarters in New York City for a two-episode special interview. In the first episode, Zeman shared information about her new role as national spokesperson for Zestra, shared insights on her character on The Bay, and reflected on how daytime soaps have gotten away from character driven drama.



In the second episode, Zeman shared her excitement about working with Nicolas Coster on The Bay, talked about her Playboy Bunny days, and the reaction from GENERAL HOSPITAL fans who have a lot to say about the storyline featuring Lucas coming out of the closet.
