Actor/Writer Roger Newman Dead at 69

Actor-turned-writer Roger Newman died of cancer at his home in New York on March 4. He was 69. He played Ken Norris on GUIDING LIGHT from 1970 to 1975. He met his wife, Fran Myers, during that time (she was playing Peggy). He and Myers eventually turned to script writing and wrote for ONE LIFE TO LIVE, ANOTHER WORLD, PASSIONS and GUIDING LIGHT. Newman won a Daytime Emmy with the GL writing team in 1993.
