Whenever I've heard Don Hastings or the late Helen Wagner speak, my favorite stories were about Irna Phillips and the "live" days of AS THE WORLD TURNS. They also always had some fun stories about various things that happened on the set. The photo above illustrates a light mood on set and the warm relationships between Wagner and Hastings, who played her son for nearly 50 years.
