In 1954, after stints on GUIDING LIGHT and VALIANT LADY, Helen Wagner joined the cast of THE WORLD OF MR. SWEENEY, which starred veteran comic actor Charlie Ruggles. Ruggles was given a 15-minute slot three nights a week. After a few months, the show moved to a daily slot on NBC's daytime schedule every day for over a year. Wagner played Marge Franklin.
