Jacqueline Courtney Dead at 64

Beloved soap opera star Jacqueline Courtney (born Sharon Courtney) passed away on December 20 of metastatic melanoma. She was 64.

Courtney was half of the iconic coupling of Alice and Steve (George Reinholt) on Another World, playing the role of Alice Matthews Frame from 1964-1975 and again from 1984-1985. After Another World, Courtney starred as the popular character of Pat Ashley on One Life to Live from 1975-1983.

Courtney retired from acting in 1987 after making a brief appearance on Loving but did visit Another World during the show's 25th anniversary week of episodes in 1989. She also returned a month later for Mac Cory's funeral, which marked her final appearance.

We Love Soaps mourns this great loss, and wish the very best to her family and friends.
