VETERANS DAY: Big News for Chance (John Driscoll) on YOUNG & RESTLESS; Real Life War Heroes, Beau Davidson in BOLD & BEAUTIFUL

In a press release issued earlier today, CBS announced that Veterans Day themed episodes of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL will air Friday. From the release:

CBS DAYTIME HONORS VETERANS DAY WITH SPECIAL THEMED EPISODES

The CBS Daytime schedule will honor our country’s veterans with themed episodes on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, THE TALK, THE PRICE IS RIGHT and LET'S MAKE A DEAL, Friday, Nov. 11, on the CBS Television Network.

On THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, while characters honor the holiday, war hero Chance (John Driscoll) learns that he has been given a special assignment and will be redeployed back to the Middle East after training.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL recruits real-life war heroes to be featured in a special episode. Twenty men and women from all branches of the United States Armed Forces and from wars spanning from “The Battle of the Bulge” in World War II to the current war in Afghanistan come together to pay tribute to their fellow veterans. Several characters, as well as the veterans, gather at Dayzee’s Café in honor of the brave men and women who protect and serve the United States of America. The guests are serenaded by country western crooner Beau Davidson, with a patriotic ballad that he composed titled “Blessed.” In addition, actor John McCook will appear in a PSA for missionserve.org, an organization which seeks to establish Veterans Day as a national day of service and celebration.
