2004: Actress Mercedes McCambridge died at age 87. She was an early cast member of THE GUIDING LIGHT radio soap opera.

2007: Telenovela LA VIUDA DE BLANCO (The Blanco's Widow), the remake of a Colombian soap opera of the same name, ended its run on Telemundo.
