Ian Buchanan Returns to GENERAL HOSPITAL! Frank Valentini Promises Triangle Ahead

GENERAL HOSPITAL executive producer Frank Valentini took to Twitter on Friday to alert fans to a critical, can't-miss episode today. "The air show on Monday is not to be missed!" he promised. "We've been keeping a huge surprise under wraps." Well, it was indeed a great surprise twist (spoiler below).


Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) appeared near the end of the episode at the clinic where Anna and Luke were looking for Robin! "Duke Lavery" immediately started trending worldwide on Twitter with "Ian" and "Duke" trending in the United States.

"Our audience is very excited about the growing relationship between Luke [Tony Geary] and Anna [Finola Hughes] and their story looks like it has really good legs...so what's the best thing to do? Make a triangle!" Valentini tells TV Guide Magazine. "We will eventually find out that the Duke Lavery we saw die all those many years ago was an imposter. This is the real Duke."
