Sean Kanan appeared at the end of today's episode of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL as Deacon Sharpe, but it's a former character he may be reprising that was the bigger surprise of the day. According to TV Guide Magazine, Kanan is heading back to GENERAL HOSPITAL where he played A.J. Quartermaine in the 1990s. Kanan first airdate is scheduled for October 29, but what role will he be playing? A.J. (then played by Billy Warlock) was killed off the soap in 2005.
"This is all pretty surreal and utterly unexpected — in fact, I thought it was going to take an Act of Congress to get me back on GH!" Kanan told the magazine. "GH is one of those places I never thought I'd see again and that makes what's happened even more exciting. My life has changed completely since those days. I'm newly married and have a baby on the way. I also have an 11-year-old daughter and four stepchildren. I'm not the guy I used to be."
Kanan signed a contract with GENERAL HOSPITAL. His former TV brother, Steve Burton, exits GH and the role of Jason Morgan on October 22.
