Former DALLAS star Sheree J. Wilson has been added to the guest list for indie soap DEVANITY's upcoming fourth season. She will be playing the role of Lara and Portia's mother Claudia Muller."Claudia has never been a nice woman, but this year we ratchet up the nasty factor as she lashes out at Jason with every ounce of venom she has in her," said executive producer Michael Caruso. "Lara's mother is not the kind of woman you want to screw with."
"Sheree is one of those actresses that I have been a long time fan of that brings a sense of slinky sex appeal, and merciless authority to the part of Claudia," Caruso added.
"I really wanted something different this time around with the character, and it was a no-brainer to have someone with Sheree's extraordinary acting ability to play a bitch on wheels like Claudia. I think people are going to get a real kick out of seeing her play such a different character from the kind-hearted April Stevens [on DALLAS]. It's a real treat for me that she's joining us this year."
Wilson has hit the small screen jackpot twice, best known for roles on two iconic television shows, starring in primetime soap opera DALLAS for five seasons opposite Patrick Duffy, and then for the entire eight year run of WALKER, TEXAS RANGER with Chuck Norris. She recently wrapped production on the 2013 Hallmark Christmas movie, Christmas Belle, with C. Thomas Howell and Hayley Duff.
Sheree J. Wilson joins previously announced new additions to the Season Four cast including Andrea Evans and Steve Kanaly, who join returning guest stars Kyle Lowder, Gordon Thomson and Charlene Tilton. The show now features three former DALLAS actors.
DEVANITY is a multiple award winning series, recently honored with nine nominations at the 2013 Indie Soap Awards held in New York City, including a nomination for Best Drama and a win for Best Writing.
The series, from Caruso/Portier Productions, has commenced filming Season Four, with plans to release in early 2014. For more information visit devanity.com.
