Cynthia Watros is joining the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in November, according to Entertainment Weekly. Watros will be playing Kelly on Y&R, a character that will have "a profound influence on the lives of several characters, including Billy, Victoria and Chloe."
Her first Y&R appearance will air November 15.
The casting notice that Y&R sent out for the character described Kelly as "a grade school teacher by trade, but not currently working. She has been married, but recently divorced." It also calls for the role to last a minimum of three episodes, but Y&R will likely keep her recurring for longer than that if possible.
Watros won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1998 for her work as Annie Dutton on GUIDING LIGHT, a role she played for four years.
In August 1998, she temporarily replaced Jensen Buchanan on ANOTHER WORLD as Vicky seamlessly stepping into the role.
Her primetime credits since GUIDING LIGHT include TITUS, THE DREW CAREY SHOW and LOST, where she famously played Libby.
