Alla Korot Joins 'Days of our Lives' as Janet Bernard

Former Another World star Alla Korot is returning to NBC when she joins the cast of Days of our Lives. She will play Janet Bernard. The actress tweeted the news on Sunday.

Wrote Korot: "Heading over to @DaysofourLives shooting 1st episode on Jan4:)) look out for Janet Bernard🙆😍"

Korot's soap opera credits include playing Jenna Norris on Another World, Allie Doyle on All My Children, and Stacy Sloan on General Hospital: Night Shift.

Korot reflected her time on the soaps in a 2009 interview with Soap Opera 451.

"When I watch the show now, I think about how very fortunate I was to have been a part of such a great show and a talented team of actors and crew," she said, about working on Another World. "Looking back I appreciate all the hard work and dedication from everyone to make the episode such a success."

"My experience at AMC was very different from AW," Korot added. "Even though I loved the cast and crew at AMC and the project was extremely gratifying to me, I always fell back on the memories I shared at AW. Even though I could try to compare the two shows, I left my heart in Bay City. Ultimately I am always grateful for any opportunity that comes my way, and I always give it my all."
