May storylines included the Nurses Ball on General Hospital and the anniversary party for Beyond the Gates couple Ted and Nicole.
Here are my grades for each show along with a few highlights. Let me know your thoughts (and grades) in the Comments section.
Beyond the Gates
The anniversary party for Ted (Maurice Johnson) and Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix) was one of the best soap events in years. Leslia/Dana (Trisha Mann-Grant) revealed the truth about her affair with Ted and that Eva (Ambyr Michelle) was his daughter to the shock of everyone in attendance. In the aftermath, Anita (Tamara Tunis) singing "Amazing Grace" at her piano was perfection. Grade: A+
Luna (Lisa Yamada) started to lose it again, obsessing that Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was the only reason she couldn't have a relationship with her biological father, Finn (Tanner Novlan). Meanwhile, Steffy revealed Liam's (Scott Clifton) dire prognosis to Hope (Annika Noelle), who later became engaged to Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor). In the spirit of getting along, Steffy gave Hope her job back at Forrester Creations. Grade: C+
Days of Our Lives
John (previously played by the late Drake Hogestyn) was severely burned in a meth lab explosion and ended up at Salem's University Hospital. John's heroics helped secure a miracle drug for Bo Brady (Peter Reckell). Elsewhere, Rachel (Alice Halsey) revealed to Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) that she heard Johnny (Carson Boatman) arguing with EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) on the night EJ was shot. And Johnny had a gun! Grade: B+
General Hospital
Welcome to the Nurses Ball... This year's event featured the return of Michael (now played by Rory Gibson) and the reveal that Gio (Giovanni Mazza) was Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Dante's (Dominic Zamprogna) son. Speaking of Gio, his violin performance during the Ball was excellent and one of the best, along with the kids finale. Tracy (Jane Eliot) was arrested before we got to see her teased musical number. Grade: A-
The Young and the Restless
Many of Genoa City's finest residents couldn't stop talking about Dumas and, by month's end, most had received invitations to visit the mystery man in France. Also, friends and family gathered to celebration Nikki's (Melody Thomas Scott) birthday. Grade: C+
