PREVIEW: “Advantage Sutton” In THE LYING GAME

Sutton decides she wants her life back in order to spend more time with Ethan, and Laurel asks Jordan out on a very awkward date in a brand new episode of THE LYING GAME, airing on January 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.

In the episode, "Advantage Sutton," Rebecca advises Sutton to reclaim her life, leading Sutton to challenge Emma to a tennis match - winner gets to live as Sutton Mercer. Ethan is in danger of failing out of school, so Emma offers to tutor him, breaking plans with Thayer in the process. Laurel decides to ask out Jordan, but ends up bringing Mads along on their date. And new evidence comes to light that may exonerate Alec, or may further prove his guilt.

PREVIEW: “Cheat, Play, Love” In THE LYING GAME

Emma is shocked by a Rybak family revelation and Sutton makes her feelings for Ethan known in a brand new episode of THE LYING GAME, airing on January 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.

In the episode, "Cheat, Play, Love," Sutton steps up her plans to win back Ethan, and makes a point to let Emma know her intentions. Feeling left out of Emma and Thayer's growing closeness, Mads visits her father in prison and shocks Emma with a family revelation. Dan continues his investigation into Derek's murder, regardless of Alec's arrest, and Jordan starts at his new school and tries to get close to Laurel.

On their seventeenth birthday, Emma’s ideal life is about to come to an end when a vengeful Sutton makes her way back to Phoenix to get her life back, in “East of Emma,” the midseason finale of ABC Family's original series THE LYING GAME, airing Monday, October 17th (8:00 – 9:00 p.m. ET/PT). All new episodes of the series will return in 2012.

Secrets abound in the Mercer household and Emma has had about enough of it. When she overhears an argument between Ted and Kristen, Emma thinks she finally can put a stop to all of the lies and get some real answers out of Sutton’s mom.

Questions surrounding Emma arise when Thayer returns to Phoenix and everyone deals with Eduardo’s accident. What does Emma know about the accident, and why does Thayer seem to know more about the situation even though he has been in L.A.? Sutton’s friends are tired of the lies and demand answers from Emma.

As Homecoming approaches, Emma realizes she is no longer just living Sutton’s life, but living the one she always dreamed of, in “Over Exposed,” an all new episode of ABC Family’s original series THE LYING GAME, premiering Monday, September 12th (8:00 – 9:00 p.m. ET/PT).

With the Homecoming dance fast approaching, Emma is shocked to find out that Sutton is running for queen. Panicked, Emma devises a plan to not have to attend the dance, thus dropping out of the race against Nisha, which raises red flags for all who know Sutton.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Alexandra Chando (Maddie, AS THE WORLD TURNS) in THE LYING GAME; PRETTY LITTLE LIARS meets SWITCHED AT BIRTH

We may know her best as Maddie Coleman from AS THE WORLD TURNS, but Emmy nominee Alexandra Chando is also about to launch a thrilling, new, original one-hour series on ABC Family called THE LYING GAME.

The weekly, primetime soap follows Emma, a kind-hearted foster kid who learns she has an identical twin sister, Sutton. Sutton, unlike Emma, was adopted by wealthy parents and is seemingly living an ideal life. After their initial meeting, Sutton talks Emma into stepping into her life for a few days while she pursues a lead on the mysterious identity of their birth mother.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV recently had the chance to talk to Alexandra about THE LYING GAME, AS THE WORLD TURNS, the challenge of playing twins, and much, much more. Here's a transcript of our conversation, followed by more info on Alexandra and THE LYING GAME.

Alexandra Chando: I definitely think THE LYING GAME will appeal to soap fans.
