Jill Larson on the end of ALL MY CHILDREN
"Greetings all, well I finally got the official call, saying PP is not going forward with AMC 'at this time', left the door open a crack, hmmm! As disappointing as that news is, it was not a surprise. Just as they did the first time, PP chose to remain silent regarding their activities, and now that I've had some experience with them, I do believe that it was because Jeff [Kwatinetz, PP's co-chief] just kept on beating the bushes trying to raise the money, never willing to cry uncle. I am sad for all of us, from Jeff to all of you, but gosh I'm grateful for the chance we had to make something new and wonderful from our beloved shows. Maybe when more fans are computer-savvy, and go online for content as a regular habit, investors will feel comfortable putting money into what was a grand experiment, perhaps ahead of its time, and only time will tell. Take care of yourselves, my lovelies, sending love to you all!"

NEWS: THE LYING GAME Canceled, VERONICA MARS Book Series, Jerry verDorn, Cory Monteith, Jill Larson, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Daisy Lewis, Tracey Bregman

THE LYING GAME canceled
LYING GAME star Alexandra Chando tweeted the news: "To our awesome #lyinggame fans, thank you for these two amazing seasons. Unfortunately, Abc Family has decided not to bring us back for a third season. We so wanted to do 10 more for you guys! Thanks for your support and keep up with the cast to see what's next for us! Xx"

Cory Monteith Was Invaluable To GLEE. Where Does the Show Go Now?
Regardless of the cause, Cory Monteith’s death is a tragic one. He was young and talented — a gifted drummer, an awkward-as-hell dancer, and a reliable nailer of power ballads. And he was Finn Hudson, GLEE's main testament to the life-changing power of music, arguably the show’s primary message.

The loss of Finn alters the show’s landscape permanently and irrevocably. While Ryan Murphy hasn’t said much publicly about what this year holds, he negotiated a two-season renewal for GLEE last spring, and consensus is that he wouldn’t have been able to do so without some sort of master plan (or at the very least, a general sense) of how this next chunk of story plays out.

GLEE works as escapist television, and it almost always flounders when it tries to be something bigger. Season four’s misbegotten school shooting, prostate cancer, teen molestation, and eating disorder storylines – all either insensitively handled or dropped without explanation – are undeniable proof of that.

Before his tragic death, Cory Monteith enjoyed his final days with friends.

More tests needed for cause of Monteith's death
Vancouver police Sgt. Randy Fincham said there's nothing to indicate the death was due to illicit drug use.

Q&A: Jill Larson & Robert Scott Wilson On The New ALL MY CHILDREN

Jill Larson & Robert Scott Wilson - Photo: Sue Coflin/Max Photos
We Love Soaps recently participated in a Q&A session with ALL MY CHILDREN stars Jill Larson (Opal) and Robert Scott Wilson (Pete) who shared their thoughts on The OnLine Network's new version of the show. Read the transcript below:

Walker Ragsdale (We Love Soaps): In the past Opal had a little bit of psychic vision. Is that something that you would like to see revisited?
Jill Larson: Oh definitely, I think once a psychic always a psychic and I think that there have been times when it's been used wonderfully and times when it's been used to such extent that, you know, there was a time in Pine Valley where I was foreseeing every possible catastrophe with 100% accuracy and still no one believed me, you know, so that was always - I always sort of had to get a laugh out of that.

NEWS: Melody Thomas Scott: ''I know how to handle him''; Gloria Loring on her relationships with Don Diamont & Deidre Hall; Josh Duhamel Raves About Jill Larson

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS star Melody Thomas Scott on working with Eric Braeden: 'I know how to handle him'
"I'm not going to lie and say that being his costar is easy, because it ain't. But it's so worth it. And, hey, I can be pretty ornery, too. After working with the guy for 34 years, I know how to handle him. [Laughs] And, the best part is, he doesn't even know he's being handled!"

DAYS OF OUR LIVES alum Gloria Loring on her relationships with Don Diamont & Deidre Hall
On Don Diamont (ex-Carlos, DAYS; now Bill, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: "He was so special because he came into my life at a point where I was feeling quite emotionally fragile even though I was supposedly a star on television. Donald was in my life for 3 ½ years. That time was really precious to me because the biggest thing he did for me, in addition to treating me with such respect, was that he listened to me. I was so used to not being heard in my marriage … my feelings, my everything. All I had to do was actually have an intake of breath, and Donald would ask, 'What do you need?'"

On Deidre Hall (Marlena, DAYS): "There are some funny Deidre stories, but I can’t tell them here. I never saw her temper. She can be very abrupt or let’s just say forthcoming (laughs). Deidre has no filter on what comes out of her mouth (laughs). Think of THE GOLDEN GIRLS and Estelle, the mother, who had no filter on what she said. That’s Deidre! And she’s very funny. It’s hysterical. It’s a little surprising at times, but she’s very funny. But you always know what’s going on with Deidre. You’ve got to give her credit for that. She’s amazing, the career she has built for herself."

CASTING NEWS: Jill Larson Joins THE BAY

Jill Larson, who played Opal for many years on ALL MY CHILDREN, will guest star in Season 2 of THE BAY as Helen Kruegar, a feisty defense attorney who’s brought in during a murder mystery.

“We are ecstatic to have the talented Jill Larson join us in Season 2! This is my second time working with her. She is a powerhouse and I can’t think of a better actress to play this part,” enthuses director/creator Gregori J. Martin who directed and co-starred with Larson in Manhattanites (the executive producer on the project was We Love Soaps' Roger Newcomb).
