Showtime Releases A Look Back At The Past 8 Seasons of DEXTER


The countdown has begun to the series finale of the iconic Showtime drama series DEXTER, which airs this Sunday, September 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. On Wednesday, the network released a special trailer that takes a look back at Dexter Morgan's conflicted journey over the past eight seasons and everyone who has ended up on his kill table. DEXTER's Season 8 Will Be Its Last


In a special announcement this afternoon made directly to DEXTER's 13 million fans on the show's Facebook page, SHOWTIME confirmed that the upcoming eighth season of the groundbreaking series will be its final one. The announcement coincided with the release of an exclusive tease from the premiere of the series' eighth and final season, which debuts on Sunday June 30th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME. The series premiered on the network on October 1, 2006 and has grown its loyal audience every season since its debut. DEXTER was the recipient of the prestigious Peabody Award, as well as 25 Emmy(R) and 10 Golden Globe(R) Award nominations, and was twice named one of AFI's top ten television series.

PREVIEW: DEXTER ("Buck The System")

DEXTER kicks off its seventh season on Sunday, September 30 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Showtime.

In the episode titled "Are You..?," reeling from Debra witnessing Dexter kill Travis Marshall, brother and sister attempt to reconcile while struggling to cover up their involvement with the murder. Meanwhile, Detective Mike Anderson has an unfortunate run-in, Quinn and Batista begin to make amends, and LaGuerta finds evidence that causes her to re-think the closed Bay Harbor Butcher Case, which could mean trouble for Dexter – and Debra.
