'General Hospital' Star Rick Hearst Lands Role on Primetime Series 'SINs'

Rick Hearst
If Rick Hearst’s sporadic appearances on General Hospital lately haven’t been satisfying you, you’re in luck. The handsome soap vet landed a role on a primetime show.

Hearst (Ric Lansing) took to Instagram to announce his new acting gig. He plays FBI operative Jack Bellows in the upcoming TV series SINs.

“ADA Sabine Evans has been chasing serial killer David Jagger Jr. for over a decade. In a strange turn of events she finally gets the chance to prosecute him in the biggest case of her career. But does she have the right man?” reads the show’s IMDb profile.

The set looks like it’s been the home of a mini-GH reunion. Nathan Parsons (ex-Ethan Spencer) plays the central role of David Jagger, Jr. on the show as well.

Just a few weeks ago, Hearst debuted a dashing silver-haired look on GH. He berated ex-love Liz after overhearing her make a date with Franco on the phone at the hospital. He’s been scarce ever since.

Parsons also made a GH comeback during Luke’s (ex-Anthony Geary) Port Charles swan song storyline. His father rescued him at the last moment before a sleep deprivation torture situation might have led to his death.

Hearst made his daytime debut in 1989 as Scott Banning, II on Days of our Lives.

Since then he appeared on Guiding Light, The Young and the Restless, in addition to his portrayal of GH anti-hero Ric Lansing. He has had numerous other television roles as well, memorable ones including Alan Black on Beverly Hills, 90210 and Dr. Elliot Lefcourt on Castle.

Hearst was born in Howard Beach, New York. He and wife Donna Smoot share two sons, Cameron and Nicholas.
