PROLOGUE

I can’t hide in here forever.

But I don’t know what waits beyond the other side of the door. Catching my reflection, I barely recognize myself in the bathroom mirror. What happened to Miss Perfect? Okay, never Miss Perfect, but I was perfectly happy. Everything I’ve worked for— my job, my relationship, my identity—is up in the air. Or destroyed.

And it’s all my fault.

Brenda Dickson's "Tell All Book" Coming Soon

The fabulous Brenda Dickson, the original Jill Foster in THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, is going to release a tell-all book about her life. On her official website, Dickson (pictured above, bottom left) explains what will be covered in the book.

This book is about the sexual harassment by Bill Bell, the "Blacklisting," the ruining of my career, as well as the behind-the-scenes true story of "The Young and the Restless." All this will be released in my "Tell All Book," on my website Brendadickson.com. Stay tuned... These court cases are part of the "Mafia," who have been in my life for years. The legal side of this story is that they basically left me homeless twice by laundering over $15 million in cash, real property and assets through two courts. They were involved in both my divorces!!! The emotional roller coaster, sexual harassment, insanity on the set of "The Young and the Restless," the love affairs of not just me but others on the set... are all in my book. I talk about my love affairs with Mike Nader (Dex Dexter on "Dynasty" and Dimitri Marick on "All My Children"), Richard Thomas (while he was staring on "Waltons"), Ernest Thompson (I dated him while he was writing "On Golden Pond," for which he won the Academy Award for the Best Adapted Screenplay), and Barry Goldwater, Jr., my first love (I worked on his campaign for Congressman, which he won). Fasten your seat belts... This book is a bumpy ride! It is full of drama, sex, and shocking information of the real life Soap Opera on "The Young and the Restless."

Fans were thrilled when Bill and Susan married in 1974. And two years later, when Julie and Doug tied the knot, millions tuned in to watch the big event. Students played hooky from school, workers called in sick, home-viewer reception parties were staged, gifts were sent - and Susan and Bill even graced the cover of TIME."

The Amazon product description adds: "They were the first 'super couple' of daytime drama. Millions watched as actors Susan Seaforth and Bill Hayes, playing Julie and Doug on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, fell in love on camera and off-igniting the hottest love story on daytime television in the 1970s and early '80s. Now, this witty, entertaining autobiography tells their fascinating story-from television's Golden Age to hit Broadway shows and soap opera stardom."
