GUIDING LIGHT Emmy winner Crystal Chappell (Olivia) was a guest on "Buzzworthy Radio" this afternoon and had a lot of interesting things to say. The interview broke listener records for the show as fans jammed the phone likes to speak with the actress. You could tell she is as big a fan of "Otalia" as many fans are, including those at the now 733 member (and growing) Big Purple Dreams fan site.
Our intention from the very beginning was not to throw labels out there. It narrows the scope of what we could do. We just wanted to tell a love story.
Chappell said she loved how the show has taken their time with the Olivia and Natalia story. She said she had to learn to trust that fans would be interested in this type of slow buidling storyline.
I knew what was going to happen in January of last year. I wasn't sure how they were going to do it, or if the story was going to get pulled. I think because of the time they took with it and the care, people were allowed to invest in the relationship.
