SEARCH FOR TOMORROW, the longest-running daytime television serial, will leave CBS for NBC beginning March 29, it has been announced by Brandon Tartikoff, president of NBC Entertainment.

On CBS, the 30-year-old serial averaged eighth in the Nielsen audience-popularity ratings this year. The networks broadcast 13 daytime serials.

NBC's four serials - DAYS OF OUR LIVES, ANOTHER WORLD, TEXAS and THE DOCTORS - rank 9th, 10th, 12th and 13th.
