Soap Opera Digest has learned that ABC has just released a casting call for the role of Sam McCall, which has been played by Kelly Monaco since 2003. She is described as "early 30s, female, Caucasian, brunette, sexy, dynamic and fiery...SERIES REGULAR. This is a character who has been established on the show."

Do they really even need Sam on the show anymore? They basically phased her out and only give her scraps these days. I like Kelly, but would have no problem if she left the show...and took Sam with her.

Is it ABC saying Sam McCall or SoapDigest? That description to be applied to a couple characters on canvas: Robin, Liz, and Claudia (to name a few).
ReplyDeleteThis sounds more like Claudia to me. I know Sarah Brown has hinted she wants to leave. But it could be a lot of people: Liz, Claudia, Sam, Robin (though i don't think they'd recast her, but who knows with this adminitration running things), it could also be Olivia, Kate, so many people. Not sure why people are assuming it's Sam.
ReplyDeleteBoth Nancy Lee Grahn and Steve Burton have said on Twitter that we should relax, Kelly isn't going anywhere and that we shouldn't believe everything we read.
