COMMENTS FROM THE PANEL:
Roger Newcomb: I'm not sure how many actors could have taken a character as evil as Carl Hutchins and transformed him into a heroic figure right before our eyes they way Charles Keating did. He was remarkable and one of a kind.
Mala Bhattacharjee: Charles Keating brought the verve and flair of a theatre actor to Bay City. Watching Carl Hutchins both menace and charm the people around him was mesmerizing. I always felt like I was watching something Shakespearean whenever he was onscreen. I was in high school when he initially fell in love with Rachel, and that instantly became my favorite love story on the show because he made Carl's transformation from Rachel's tormentor to ardent pursuer so compelling."
