Two-time Emmy winner Martha Byrne hosted the 2nd Annual Indie Soap Awards on Monday night in New York City and we can't thank her enough. Martha and I spoke about doing a live event a year ago after the 1st Annual pre-taped show and she has been 100% behind the idea, and in full support of the indie soap and web series community, from day one. I spoke to almost everyone in attendance after the show and they had nothing but praise for her class, sense of humor, style and grace.A number of people asked Damon L. Jacobs and myself who wrote Martha's monologue and jokes. We had to tell them it was all her. She combined an honest respect for the work being done by the producers, directors, writers, actors, crew on the web series with her unmatched wit and humor. She was on point all night.
So Damon and I want to thank her immensely for hosting the awards ceremony and her unrelenting support for all these wonderful shows that need our encouragement and positive energy.
