RED CARPET INTERVIEW: James Scott at the 39th Annual Daytime Creative Emmys, 'Sami, you marry me or I marry your boy!'

WE LOVE SOAPS TV caught up with DAYS OF OUR LIVES star James Scott, who plays EJ. We talked about EJ's relationship with Stefano on DAYS and what an EJ/Will 'relationship' might do to Sami.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: Did EJ shoot Stefano (Joe Mascolo)?
James Scott: Well, probably, yeah.

He had the gun in his hand, he pulled the trigger, we saw the gun go off, it was certainly pointed, pretty much, in the direction of Stefano. I would like Stefano to be on the receiving end of that.

James Scott: I don't, on this occasion, have the luxury of knowing where the story is going, but I would love to see this come around to Stefano and EJ rekindling a relationship in some way.
WE LOVE SOAPS TV: He [Stefano] never stays dead.
James Scott: Well, I know. I hear he always comes back.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: Our viewers love the chemistry between EJ and Will (Chandler Massey). What's it like working with Chandler?
James Scott: First of all, Chandler Massey should win the award for Younger Actor. He's the most talented young actor that I've ever worked with.

They [Will and EJ] have this really interesting relationship. I think of it as being a mentor/mentee relationship - almost a father/son relationship. It has some really interesting dynamics within that, because of course you have Will's sexuality and you have the fact that EJ is a man who is not over and above, like, walking that line...

I mean, I don't think there's any question regarding EJ's sexuality, but he knows how to exert power over people.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: It would send Sami over the edge.
James Scott: Maybe that's a good reason to do it. Sami, you marry me, or I marry your boy! It's up to you.
