Two stories intersect on Tuesday's episode of 'The Young and the Restless' when the true identity of "Cassie" (Camryn Grimes) is revealed.

First, "Cassie" discusses her current situation with Ian Ward (Ray Wise), who mentions that she has managed to survive without her mother. Who is her mother? Later, Cassie leaves her room and runs into Tyler Michaelson (Redaric Williams), who recognizes her as his former fiancée, Mariah.
For months now, the unseen Mariah has been part of Tyler's story, mostly through text messages and a hotel room appearance while Tyler and Abby (Melissa Ordway) were visiting Los Angeles.
