NBC soap opera Days of our Lives is currently casting the role of a dashing and confident man named Alex. The show is seeking a strong actor between the ages of 30 and 39 to play the part. The casting notice reads, “Alex has spent the last ten years traveling the world and amassing a small fortune. His ambition grew and his success in the marketplace has given him an enough of a cocky confidence to come to Salem with an agenda to challenge his family for control of the business. When it comes to women, Alex can be a bit of a playboy like his dad used to be.”
You usually can't read too much into the name listed on the casting call, but there's always a chance that "Alex" is really "Alexander", the son of Justin Kiriakis and Anjelica Deveraux, and Sonny's half brother.
The role is set to begin taping in March.
