A Heartfelt Goodbye: 'Misguided' Prepares Its Final Season

Misguided web series
Misguided, the cult-favorite digital dramedy, is gearing up for its fourth and final season — and the newly released first-look video makes one thing clear: 2026 is going to hurt in the best possible way.

Created by and starring Paul Gosselin, the series follows “Paul,” a lifelong soap-opera diehard turned perpetually struggling actor whose chance of joining Guiding Light died the moment the legendary daytime drama did. Across three seasons, Misguided has lovingly skewered the classics — amnesia, star-crossed love, kidnappings, diabolical schemes — while digging into deeper themes like identity, belonging, and the pull of a television era that refuses to fade quietly.

Season 3 ended with a gut punch: Paul’s final exchange with his mother — portrayed by the late, great Jacklyn Zeman — becomes the wound he can’t outrun. Zeman, forever beloved as Bobbie Spencer on General Hospital, earned two Indie Series Award nominations for her work on Misguided before her passing in 2023. Her presence looms large over the new season, which promises to be the show's most emotional chapter yet.

Picking up in the aftermath of his mother’s death, Paul finds himself unmoored and vulnerable to the shadows of his past. Grief twists into deception, memories warp, and the truth becomes a minefield. He battles through a maze of secrets where every revelation threatens to cost him the little he has left.

A few familiar faces return for the final bow:
— Jean Carol, adored by Guiding Light fans as Nadine Cooper Lewis
— Stephanie Gatschet, who brought Tammy Winslow to life on GL

They join Teja Anderson, Kasey Mahaffy (Grey’s Anatomy, Modern Family), and Daniel Montgomery (Barry, The Jessica Cabin) — a lineup that continues the show’s commitment to elevating LGBTQ+ talent.

“Creating this final season gave me an opportunity to explore something I’m not great at: saying goodbye,” Gosselin shares. “There’s sadness throughout, but also new doors opening and the possibility of the unknown. Marking this as the final season wasn’t the hardest part — doing it while saying goodbye to Jackie Zeman, who became a maternal figure in my life, that’s what broke my heart. Her presence is felt in every frame.”

The teaser sets the tone: raw, stylish, nostalgic, and unmistakably Misguided.
Watch it below and brace yourself — this last ride won’t pull any punches.
