Dominic Zamprogna to Star in Short Film 'To the Moon and Back'

Writer/Director Nate Hapke's 11th short film To the Moon and Back film centers on a grieving man who finds solace in the presence of his wife and daughter in the moments leading up to having to eulogize his mother. General Hospital star Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri) plays Robert Westfield to lead the cast, which includes Danielle Rayne, and Julie Romano.

The film is currently in production.

Dominic Zamprogna Returning to 'General Hospital'

Dominic Zamprogna is returning to General Hospital as Dante Falconeri, the role he played from 2009-2018. The actor posted a selfie from inside his temporary dressing room (his old one was reassigned to Josh Swickard, Chase).

Zamprogna is not returning full-time but will be staying longer than the one-day return he made for a special Sonny episode late last year.

Dominic Zamprogna, who joined the cast of General Hospital nine years ago as Dante Falconeri, made his final appearance on Thursday's episode. Check out his last scene below.

Dominic Zamprogna Leaving 'General Hospital'

Dominic Zamprogna, who joined the cast of General Hospital nine years ago as Dante Falconeri, has left the show. The actor tweeted that he taped his final scenes last month. Zamprogna posted, "So you've been asking. I feel I owe it to you awesome fans to tell you that I’ve taped my final scenes. Going to miss you all and my GH fam. Good things happening tho. More to come.."

After Zamprogna confirmed on Twitter that he has wrapped up his GH stint, co-stars were quick to praise the fan favorite.

“Always very sad for me when great actors and great friends leave the show Dom was definitely at the top of that list was always looking forward to working with him didn’t happen enough,” posted on-screen father Maurice Benard (Sonny).

His Port Charles wife, Emme Rylan (Lulu), tweeted, “I am utterly heartbroken to see you go but also very excited to watch what is coming next for you. I believe in you! Go get em!”

'General Hospital' Star Emme Rylan Dishes Possible Cassadine Baby and More!

Fan fave Emme Rylan talked about her portrayal of Lulu on General Hospital and all the wacky things that implies! Some of what she dished on included hubbies, babies, a mysterious message from Helena Cassadine, and more.

“There was something that happened during those island scenes. Everyone was really on and really living that imaginary circumstance, and it was fun. I loved it,” Rylan (Lulu Spencer) told On Air On Soaps of her recent scenes with the motley Port Charles crew trapped on Cassadine Island.

Rylan couldn’t keep a straight face as she repeated the escape route off Cassadine Island over and over as Lulu had to remember it. Dominic Zamprogna’s (Dante Falconeri) teasing her didn’t help either.

“The cast was laughing the entire time. But it was actually a fun week of shooting for many reasons,” Rylan said.
