The daytime Nielsen ratings are sin for the week of August 13-17, 2012. DAYS OF OUR LIVES returned strongly after a two week hiatus averaging a 0.9 rating, 6 share among women 18-49 and a 0.6 rating among women 18-34, to tie for #4 among network daytime series in the women 18-49 demographic and tie for #2 in the week’s women 18-34 race. Compared to the previous week, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS were up in Total Viewers. Both shows and DAYS were ahead of last year's pace.

The daytime Nielsen ratings are sin for the week of August 6-10, 2012. DAYS OF OUR LIVES did not air during the week as NBC aired its Olympics coverage. Compared to the previous week, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and GENERAL HOSPITAL were all up in Total Viewers. GH (+46,000) and Y&R (+1,000) were both up slightly in the number of Women 18-49 viewers (+1,000).

The daytime Nielsen ratings are sin for the week of July 30-August 3, 2012. DAYS OF OUR LIVES did not air during the week as NBC aired its Olympics coverage. Compared to the previous week, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL was up in Total Viewers. GENERAL HOSPITAL was up slightly in the number of Women 18-49 viewers (+2,000).

The daytime Nielsen ratings are sin for the week of July 23-27, 2012. Compared to the previous week, DAYS OF OUR LIVES was up in Total Viewers. DAYS, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, GENERAL HOSPITAL and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS were all up in the number of Women 18-49 viewers.

RATINGS: GOOD AFTERNOON AMERICA Debuts to 1.9 Million Viewers

The premiere of ABC News’ GOOD AFTERNOON AMERICA drew 1.923 million Total Viewers and 359,000 Women 18-49 on July 9, 2012, according to Fast National Preliminary Nielsen data. The debut of the ABC program improved on the season-to-date averages of THE REVOLUTION by +40% in Total Viewers and by +21% in Women 18-49 (1.370 million and 297,000, respectively).

ABC News Announces Josh Elliott and Lara Spencer as Anchors of GOOD AFTERNOON AMERICA

Beginning Monday, July 9, ABC News will air a one hour extension of GOOD MORNING AMERICA for nine weeks titled GOOD AFTERNOON AMERICA. The show replaces THE REVOLUTION in the ABC Daytime lineup.

The program will be anchored by GMA’s Josh Elliott and Lara Spencer, with Sam Champion, Robin Roberts, and George Stephanopoulos joining in with special appearances. The energetic, fast-paced program will feature the most-talked about celebrities, performances by the biggest names in the music industry, the latest pop culture news plus offer original entertainment, lifestyle, health, workplace and consumer reporting from an all-star list of contributors and other members of the ABC family.
